DANIL GOLOVKIN SELECTED WORK
Born and raised in Southern Russia, Danil Golovkin began approaching photography as self-taught. After finishing up his studies in graphic arts and then working as an art director, Danil took up on an opportunity to work on a special issue of Elle Russia as a photographer for the first time. Since then, his images have become more and more speaking images of his characters — that tell a story and instantly become recognisable — and brought him to the international art scene.
Danil has been shooting editorial stories for every major publication in Russia, including Vogue, ELLE, Tatler, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Esquire; while his talents include Naomi Campbell, Annie Leibovitz, Natalia Vodianova, Adrien Brody, Mila Jovovich, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Gerard Butler, Philippe Starck, John Galliano, Giorgio Armani.
Danil’s work has been recognized and featured in several books and exhibitions, including his personal exhibition FACES of iconic portrait photographs made throughout the years.
